/var/log/Sam Ash store closing

What a sad news that is hard to believe to me… I loved Sam Ash Music store and visited very frequently especially the Torrance CA store when I lived in SoCal around the 00s.
I remember I usually bought equips from them for example, I bought the SSL Duende which was the original version 1U unit connecting via Firewire. Purchased many cables, effectors(stomps), and so on.
Also, it was super fun to spend time in the store. I can test play the bass so easily, touch the synths, play the drums, and many other things. In Japan, normally I don’t touch anything in the music store. Usually need to ask a store clerk to get a permit in advance. So Japan’s instrument store is a little boring to me. :-(
OK, we have the internet and YouTube to check new equips but… I don’t want to watch the “promotional video” on YouTube. They are promoting, and saying mostly the pros. I can’t touch it, I can’t listen to the “real” sound because they should edit the “sound” for YouTube. I don’t think that is a “real” thing. At least, the sound is already compressed on YouTube.
Maybe a new era doesn’t fit me. Haha.
