DATE:2025.02.01
Well, disclaimer first… :p :p :p
This is just my honest opinion, so don’t blame any manufacturer or me. ;)
I’m actually fed up with skeuomorphic-designed VST plugins, for example, the “tape” emulators. Why do I need to see the “reel tape” on the plugin’s panel? I just need some sliders/knobs/buttons and simple meters. That’s it! But many plugins have a stupidly cluttered surface on their panel that is the “Reel Tape Picture” and takes up valuable screen space.
Here we go.
This is why I don’t buy any new plugins these days.
Will it improve the “sound” using a skeuomorphic design? I really don’t think so!! So I love my old, outdated plugins, and those are my go-to ones which have been running for over 2 decades!
OK, that’s it for today’s rant.
Good day. :)
